About Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University
Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University (AFMKU), established in 2000, is one of the most modern and rapidly developing private universities in Poland. Its mission is to inspire and challenge students, faculty, staff and alumni by providing high quality, innovative and internationally oriented education and research. AFMKU educates professionals from various fields and equips them with all the skills needed to succeed in the business world.
International Business Studies
International Business is a 3-year undergraduate programme, offering not only high quality knowledge in finance, law, marketing, economics and political relations, but also international experience and competence. All courses are conducted in English and held in small groups, with emphasis on practical orientation and individual work.
International co-operation
Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University has a wide network of international contacts. This cooperation has given rise to exchange programmes involving students and members of the academic staff, as well as educational and research projects. AFMKU participates in the international programmes e.g. LLP-Erasmus.
Rankings
- the first non-public vocational school of higher education in Poland when it comes to size, to the number of full-time students, master's degree students and students admitted during the academic year 2006/2007 - Report of "Perspektywy" June 2007
- Special Award 2007 for the "leap from the 46th to the 23rd place on the list" of non-public undergraduate schools of higher education in the ranking carried out by "Perspektywy" and the "Rzeczpospolita"
- the "Wiarygodna Szkoła" ("Reliable School") certificate for the academic year 2007/2008, granted by the Academic Information Centre (3rd time).
Campus
The campus of AFMKU is situated at ul. Gustawa Herlinga-Grudzińskiego 1, along the Vistula River, within a walking distance (circa 3 km) from the centre of Krakow. The campus consists of three world-class edifices, which jointly give around 26 000 square metres of comfortable learning and working space for students as well as teaching and administrative staff, respectively.
Clubs and societies
Sports and cultural experiences are an important part of student's education. They may choose from several active students' associations and organizations that focus on various economic aspects including: entrepreneurship, international trade, or leadership. Their activity allows students to pursue various special interests related to economics by initiation of scientific research projects, participation in symposia, preparation of presentations, experts meetings and other.
